Telehealth Services

Active members of the Teamsters Health and Welfare funds and their families are eligible for free telehealth services through Teladoc. With Teladoc, you’re able to talk to a U.S. board certified doctor by phone or video chat for non-emergencies, such as sinus infections, bronchitis, cold, flu and more.

Behavioral Health Advocate

The Fund is proud to provide you with a dedicated Behavioral Health Advocate to assist you with your behavioral health benefits. You can also visit a behavioral health provider or get support for substance use for a copay equivalent to your primary care provider copay. Advocates are available from 8:30am – 4:00pm, 8:30am -5:00pm on Wednesday.

COLOR Cancer Screenings

Whether you’re seeking to understand your cancer risk, currently undergoing treatment, are a cancer survivor, or caring for a loved one, your Color benefit offers personalized support to guide you through every step. This benefit is available to all members and their spouses at no cost.

Color is offering a quick, five-minute colon cancer risk assessment. Complete the gut check by April 1 for a chance to win one of five Vitamix blenders!

Virta Health

Virta Health is a fully covered benefit that supports you with weight loss and type 2 diabetes reversal. Virta Health is a virtual clinic that uses food as medicine to reverse type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and weight gain.

Gym Reimbursement Program

HorizonbFit is a voluntary gym reimbursement program designed to encourage members to maintain an active lifestyle. Once enrolled, you are eligible to receive a $20 reward for every month in which you make at least 12 visits to any of the 4,000 participating facilities across the country!

Note: The Fit Teamster program will end on December 31, 2025. Members will be able to submit gym reimbursement forms through December 31, 2025.

Relievus

Relievus programs offer non-surgical alternatives for healing injuries and pain relief. These programs aid in your recovery without the downtime associated with surgical procedures. The initial consultation does have a specialist copay charge, but if you are eligible for the procedure it will be covered at no cost to you.

PRP therapy uses your body’s own healing power for injury and pain relief. This therapy involves injecting concentrated platelets, taken from a small sample of your blood, into injured and painful areas to promote natural tissue healing.

MILD Procedure offers a gentle option for back and leg pain caused by Spinal Stenosis. This outpatient procedure involves making a tiny incision on your back to remove small pieces of tissue that are crowding nerves causing your pain.

This procedure is designed to help your nervous system reset to help reduce anxiety, irritability or sleep issues by targeting your sympathetic nerves to help calm your body’s stress response. This program is covered under your medical plan and charges you a deductible and coinsurance.

Sword Health – Digital Physical Therapy

The Fund has partnered with Sword Health to deliver digital physical therapy solutions that use AI technology to reinvent how people access and receive care.

Thrive is a digital physical therapy program designed to help you overcome joint, back, and muscle pain from home by using a combination of licensed physical therapists and easy-to-use technology.

Bloom offers therapy for women’s pelvic health with an innovative, digital solution to support women in all stages of life.

Wellness Screening

Any member that would like to earn the Platinum medical plan will need to complete a wellness screening as well as any spouse that is covered under this plan. You can complete either a screening through Quest Diagnostics or an at-home checkup through Catapult Health. The deadline to complete a screening is October 31, 2026. Those who do not complete the screening will be automatically enrolled in the Gold medical plan for 2027 which has higher out-of-pocket expenses.
